Dr. Melikov passed a neurology internship at Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov). He is involved in clinical research on new treatments for migraine and cluster headache. Dr. Melikov founded the Israeli Migraine Clinic and is currently its medical director. He is also a member of professional medical associations, including the American Society and the International Headache Society, and provides lectures to family doctors and neurologists in the areas of headache and migraine.

Dr. Melikov’s work continues to influence medical developments in the field of migraines and headaches. He is one of the developers of the MARS calculator for predicting the risk of stroke in people with migraine with aura. In addition to his research work and his work with patients, Dr. Melikov is a professiona lspeaker  in the field of headache and migraine, and is frequently interviewed on the subject on television and radio.
